Teeth Bleaching

Having a beautiful smile may be even easier than you think. Many people achieve the look they’ve been dreaming of with our simple whitening procedure. We offer in-office whitening and at-home whitening with custom splints.

It’s safe, quick and inexpensive. Just let us know at any appointment if you would like to receive a whitening consult. You can lighten only your upper teeth or both the upper and the lower, depending on how much of each shows when you talk and smile.

Our in-office whitening procedure starts with placing a barrier around your gum-line. Then, a whitening agent is applied to the front surfaces of your teeth and a light is positioned to activate the material. The material is applied 3-4 times and then everything is removed. This is provided by a specially trained dental assistant or hygienist.

Our at-home whitening procedure begins with impressions of your teeth that are used to make models for your custom splints. In approximately a week your custom splints will be ready for you to pick up. We provide you with special whitening agent that you place into the clear splints. With only an hour of wear per day, our special whitening agent lifts stains right out of your enamel in a very short time without permanently altering tooth structure or existing dental work in any way. When your teeth reach the brightness you want, only occasional “touch up” treatment is required to maintain your new smile.

Dental whitening can be used to correct many tooth discolorations. These discolorations may have been caused by staining, aging or chemical damage to teeth. The type and color of stains can determine the success of whitening. The majority of yellow and brown stains are successfully treated. However, gray stains and intrinsic stains are difficult if not impossible to remove with whitening alone. In cases of extreme discoloration, crowns or veneers may be the only option. It is important to note that porcelain and composite restorations do not respond to the whitening procedures. Therefore, a discussion with your doctor about your existing restorations is imperative before beginning any whitening.
