Dr. Ken Harrell was born and raised in Clinton, NC. He is a 1974 graduate of Clinton High School. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill in 1978 and his Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS) from the University of North Carolina School of Dentistry in 1982.
Dr. Harrell has practiced dentistry in Maxton, then Laurinburg, since 1982. He is a former president of the Southeastern Dental Society. He has also worked in the Missions of Mercy clinics and participated in a medical/dental mission to Honduras through his church.
He attends First United Methodist Church in Laurinburg where he sings in the choir. He is married to Virginia Ficklin Harrell and has three children: Stuart, Carrie, and Paul. In his spare time he enjoys woodworking, golfing, and spending time at the beach. His very favorite pastime is spending time with his two grandsons, Mason and Caleb.
