Dr. John Kent

Dr. John Kent is a native of New Orleans, Louisiana. He received his B.S. in Microbiology from Louisiana State University and his Doctorate of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) from the University of Alabama School of Dentistry. His postdoctoral training includes SUNY Buffalo and affiliated hospitals, where he obtained his Oral Maxillofacial Surgery certificate. He completed a Fellowship in Head and Neck Cosmetic and Reconstructive Surgery at Louisiana State University. He also spent four years teaching at the LSU School of Dentistry.

Dr. Kent’s certifications include: the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (AABOMS), the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (AAOMS), Louisiana and NC State Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Societies (OMS), and the Fayetteville and New Orleans Dental Societies.

He currently resides in the Fayetteville area with his wife, Betteye. In his spare time, he enjoys offshore fishing, amateur car racing, SEC football and Bible history. When asked what he enjoys most about his job, Dr. Kent states that he enjoys reducing his patients’ fears and pain.
