Dr. Brett Alvey
Dr. Brett Alvey is a native of Richmond, Utah. He received a Bachelor of Science in Public Health from Utah State University. He then moved to Chapel Hill and received a D.D.S. from the UNC-Chapel Hill School of Dentistry. While in dental school, he developed a love for orthodontics and completed a residency at the University of Washington in Seattle. It was there that he received a Certificate in Orthodontics and a Masters in Science in Dentistry. He is certified by the American Board of Orthodontics.
Dr. Alvey is bilingual. He is fluent in Spanish. He currently resides in Durham with his wife. They have three children: Aaron, Abigail, and Caroline. In his spare time Dr. Alvey enjoys playing and watching sports. He and his family are big UNC fans.
When asked what he enjoys most about his job, Dr. Alvey states:
“I love working with the kids and hearing about what they are doing in life. I love watching smiles transform and seeing kids gain confidence as a result. Orthodontics had a big impact on me growing up as it helped my self-confidence and I enjoy seeing kids experience that same feeling.”
