Meet Dr. Hal Coe
Dr. Coe joins us from a private practice in Amelia Island, Florida. He is a native Floridian and second generation dentist. Dr. Coe received his dental training from the University Of Louisville School Of Dentistry. Upon graduation, Dr. Coe practiced general dentistry alongside his father for 15 years. He regards working side-by-side with his father as one of the greatest attributes of his career.
Pursuing a lifelong dream, he returned to the educational arena at the University of Florida, where he graduated with a Certificate in Endodontics, and a Master’s of Science in 2013. Dr. Coe joined the Village Family Dental team in 2014 and is thrilled to be living and working in North Carolina. He has recently become board certified, a distinction only 20% of endodontists hold. He is currently providing excellent endodontic care to patients at our Fayetteville location.
Dr. Coe is a Board Certified Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics, an achievement that less than 20 percent of Endodontists obtain in their career. To become Board Certified, Dr. Coe had to successfully complete a one-day written exam (testing fields such as anatomy, biochemistry, microbiology, radiology and clinical endodontics), a one-day oral exam (demonstrating a high level of skill in problem solving, decision making, analysis and evaluation) and submitted documentation of a variety of complex cases demonstrating exceptional knowledge, skills and expertise in the full scope of the field of Endodontics.
In addition to his work at Southeastern Dental Specialists, Dr. Coe is also an Adjunct Clinical Professor of Endodontics at The University of North Carolina School of Dentistry in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, and also at The University of Florida College of Dentistry, in Gainesville, Florida. He enjoys teaching and working side-by-side with the dental students and Endodontic Residents
In his spare time, Dr. Coe enjoys many outdoor activities such as skiing and hiking. He also enjoys traveling, reading and cooking.
