Dr. Jeffrey Aycock
Dr. Jeffrey Aycock is an oral & maxillofacial surgeon originally from Houma, Louisiana. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Mississippi and did additional post baccalaureate studies at Western Carolina University. He received his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree (DMD) from the University of Mississippi Medical Center School of Dentistry in 2009. He is a 3rd generation dental professional as his grandfather was a general dentist and his father was an oral & maxillofacial surgeon.
He completed a four-year oral & maxillofacial surgery residency program at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, TX from 2013 – 2017. He was also an assistant professor in the program following the completion of his training.
Dr. Aycock is currently a Lieutenant Colonel in the US Army Reserve Dental Corps and served on active duty previously for 10 and a half years. He was stationed in Fayetteville from 1996 – 2000 where he served in the 82nd Airborne Division and the 44th Medical Brigade as a Medical Service Corps officer. He deployed to Afghanistan in 2010 as a dentist and to Bosnia & Nicaragua earlier in his career.
Dr. Aycock is board eligible and in the process of becoming board certified through the American Board of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery. He is a Diplomate of the National Dental Board of Anesthesiology, a Fellow of the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology, a member of the American Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons, American College of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery and the American Dental Association.
Dr. Aycock has active staff privileges at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center and provides call coverage at the hospital for patients that require oral & maxillofacial surgery treatment in the hospital setting.
He is married to his wonderful wife, Kim. They have 3 dogs and enjoy being on that water and doing all types of outdoor activities.
