Dr. Nicholas Bland was born and raised in Aiken, SC and graduated from North Georgia College & State University with a BS in Chemistry. After attending dental school at Tufts University, Dr. Bland moved to Fort Stewart, GA where he began his career as a U.S. Army Dentist. While at Fort Stewart, Dr. Bland volunteered to be the Officer in Charge of Children’s Dental Health Month which helped to teach over 1,400 children from various schools in the surrounding area proper oral hygiene techniques. It was during this time Dr. Bland realized his true calling to become a Pediatric Dentist. He went on to serve as the Brigade Dental Surgeon for the 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division out of Fort Stewart, GA and subsequently the 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division out of Fort Bragg, NC. After serving a little over four years on active duty, Dr. Bland completed two additional years of specialty training in Pediatric Dentistry with New York University-Langone Dental Medicine in Central Arizona. While there, he was chosen by his attending faculty to serve as Chief Resident during his final year in residency. Dr. Bland is excited to come home to North Carolina to provide excellent, compassionate, dental care to children in the greater Fayetteville area. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family and friends, playing guitar, and staying physically fit. Dr. Bland is Currently a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry.
