Dr. Fanar Subhi

Dr. Fanar Subhi was born and raised in Baghdad, Iraq, where his early experiences gave him a deep appreciation for the value of quality healthcare and inspired him to pursue dentistry as a way to help others.

After relocating to the United States in 2013, he earned an Associate of Science from Wake Technical Community College, followed by a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from North Carolina State University. Before dental school, he worked as a Quality Control Scientist at Pfizer Pharmaceuticals. He went on to achieve his lifelong dream of becoming a dentist, earning his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from West Virginia University School of Dentistry.

Fluent in both English and Arabic, he is committed to creating a welcoming and respectful space for every patient he meets.

He is a proud member of the American Dental Association and the Academy of General Dentistry. Through his volunteer work with programs such as Give the Kids a Smile Back and Mission of Mercy, Dr. Subhi has helped deliver no-cost dental care to both children and adults in rural and low-income communities.

Dr. Subhi now lives in Cary with his family and two cats. Outside the office, he enjoys playing and watching soccer, working out, kayaking, caring for his houseplants, and spending quality time with family and friends. His passion for dentistry is matched by his commitment to making a meaningful impact on the health and well-being of his community.
